Dijon

Sorry its taken me so long to get France pics up.... I was pretty much going crazy with the camera the whole time. at the end of the trip the total came to 2000 photos. So many of these were me being silly with the camera, experimenting with the settings and stuff... and having the camera on 'action' mode or whatever and you can just hold the button down and it takes 4 or 5 pictures a second or something. Regardless, I had to work a little bit each day to get them sorted out.

Our trip started in Dijon. Shelly wanted to go to France so we got on the train. We didnt have any reservations or anything... everything was done just one step at a time!

On the way to Dijon we were so excited to see these yellow flowers from the train window. As we were pretty close, surely these must be mustard plants right? Nope. Later on we found out they were canola plants, as in canola oil. When we got back to Switzerland a week later, the stuff had begun growing all over the place there too.

Of course we did pick up some Dijon mustard in Dijon. It was mandatory. This city was one of my favorite places we saw in France, as it was pretty tame, but with a lot of old buildings and spirit. We had a nice dinner and took a self guide site seeing tour of its old churches and such.

Shelly almost had pink hair for a minute:
